Lucy Gomez is the most creative person I know. She started piano lessons when she was only 6 years old. At school, she was always creating interesting projects in her art class. When she was only 12 years old, she won a citywide poetry contest. Her parents were very proud of her.

Now Lucy works as a sitcom writer for a popular TV show. She works with a group of writers, and together they have to think of fresh ideas. They also have to come up with funny dialog for the actors on their show because the actors have to play believable characters that will make the audience laugh. It is not an easy job, buy Lucy does it well.

She starts work late in the morning and often works until 7 or 8 at night.

Lucy is very curious. She likes to travel and meet new people who have opinions that are different from hers. She often carries a notebook with her and writes down what she sees and hears. Lucy tells me that these new experiences are a good source of ideas for her work. I always enjoy talking to her and am happy to know someone as bright and creative as Lucy.

One day I was walking on the beach and stopped to look at the waves. Suddenly, I thought I saw something struggling in the water. It looked like a man who was having a trouble swimming. At that moment, I reached for my glasses, and then remembered I'd left them at home. Just then, a big wave came, and the man was gone. At that moment I ran as fast as I could to get the lifeguard. After that, we arrived back t the spot where I had seen the man. When the lifeguard looked through his binoculars he said he didn't see anything. Iwas pretty embarrassed.
The next day I bought a newspaper. There was an article about dolphins swimming near the shore. As soon as I read the article. I realized that I had seen a dolphin in the water - not a man!.
After that I never went anywhere without my glasses again.

when I think about high school, I have both good and bad memories. one of the best years of my life was back in 2002, my freshman year at James Madison High School, in San Antonio, Texas, it was a year full of all the emotions you can have in life. I dont remember to much of it by now, but i do remember some people i knew back then, people who cared about me and helped me to adjust to a new way of life, and i still talk to some of them. I have only one regret about high school: I should have stayed up there, i took a wrong decision and came back to mexico, just when i had everything ready to go back to school and be a sophomore, even my schedule done, i was going to take great classes, even dance and interior designer, plus i was going to left esol 1 to go to English 2, yeah, i was supposed to take regular english classes just like everybody else, and my counselor told me that i shouldnt left madison, because if i had kept going just the way i was i would have a pretty good chance to get a scholarship for college, but i totally ruined that up. i dont really know why i took that decision, but i remember i was afraid that something may happen to my parents and i wouldnt be by their side, i was just 15 years old, so i guess i didnt think what would be the best for me or the opportunities i would have after 4 years of high school, having good grades, and i even passed a reading and writing state test and a math state test. but i guess everything happens for a reason, and now i have some other beautiful things in my life that i wouldnt have if would stayed back in Madison.

activity from the book

If young couples in my country want to get married, they supposed first get the permission of their parents, although nowa days, some of them dont really want to get married, they just rather live together, without having a wedding, or the permission of their parents. I believe the reason for this is that they are afraid of commitment, and they think that they may get divorced later, so why would they get married if it wont last forever. I know some couples who have done this, and they're still together, and they're also doing great, but who knows what will happen in 10 years from now.
I may be an old fashion minded but i still want to get married, have a big wedding, with all my friends and family joining me, and having of course the permision of my parents, I know that would be like a dream come true to them and to me, they really wish seeing me walking down the aisle. I also think that my marriage will last forever, and that i'll have a happy family, i know that sounds like a fairy tale, but if the world goes wrong, doesnt mean every one who lives in it has to go the same way, i now marriages used to fail, but that doesnt mean all of them have to, and I hope mine wont be one of the ones which fail.

Friends at SchooL

this is a picture of me and my friends at school, we were eating some kind of candy that got our tongue green lol...well we've been together for 2 years, and even that each one of us have our respectives BFF, we get along pretty well. i love them and care about them, they are super funny people.

I dont really know what can i say about them but that we have spent very funny moments together, we have went to the club, to the beach, to the movies, to parties together and had so much fun, we are always laughing at each other's expense haha, but we never get to mad to each other, we know we're just joking around.

they make school seems easier for me, because is not like you only go to school to learn, i mean that would be bored, but we talk a lot, and discuss our problems, they take good care of me as well, and im thankful to them for being so good to me.
